The conference package is US$1,000.00 per participant for those who pay on or before the early registration date indicated above. This covers registration fee, full boarding (inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at Palm Beach Hotel from 26 September to 1 October, conference kit, and airport-hotel-airport transfers.
If you pay after the early registration deadline, the conference package becomes US$1,250.00 per participant.
Participants who intend to bring along their spouses or partners should notify the conference organizing committee in advance. Additional costs for extra accommodation as per the hotel's rates would apply and would be shouldered by the participant.
Participants should pay the conference package fee indicated above by 30 July. Payments by check should be made in favor of IITA and sent to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) c/o IITA, 26 Dingwall Road, Croydon, Surrey CR9 3EE, UK; or The CFO, IITA Headquarters, PMB 5320, Ibadan, Nigeria. You will only be considered officially registered when payment has been received. Payments will be acknowledged by the conference organizers.
To ensure smooth airport transfers, those attending the conference should send their travel itinerary as soon as available. This should include airline name, flight number, and arrival and departure time and date. Please send your itineraries to c.fatokun@cgiar.org.
Visa requirements to enter Senegal vary by nationality. We advise that you check with your local travel agent regarding the visa requirement applicable to you.
As with previous World Cowpea Research Conferences, we would be publishing a conference proceedings for this year’s event. Participants must bring with them the full write up of their presentations in electronic format, preferably as Microsoft Office file, when they travel to Saly for the conference. Participants must submit these electronic files to the secretariat upon physical registration at the conference venue on 27 September.
All submitted writeups will be reviewed by a panel of experts and the selected ones will be included in the proceedings publication.
